The Facility

iPowerWeb's Internet Data Centers are strategically located on AT&T’s, Global Crossing and Cable & Wireless' OC48 / OC192 Global IP backbones. These locations, together with the extensive public and private peering arrangements, are designed to maximize your Internet reach, bandwidth capacity and to optimize performance.

To ensure your data’s security, our facilities are staffed 24 hours a day with on-site guards and equipped with both interior and exterior closed circuit television.

Access to and from the hosting and monitoring areas is controlled via highly secure mantraps. These single entry, hardened portals are extremely effective at limiting access to the facility to authorized personnel only. Secure Entrance

The operations of all iPowerWeb Internet Data Centers are monitored by regional Network Operations Centers (NOC) with mirrored content displayed in other NOCs for failsafe network system diversity and redundancy. Network security is ensured by state-of-the-art software and hardware for network monitoring and routing, intrusion detection and filtering.

The NOCs are staffed on a 24/7 basis by skilled network technicians and analysts, who continuously monitor the data center network infrastructure for any signs of problems. Automated features as well as customized options help network managers to predict - and often, resolve - problems before they arise.

iPowerWeb also performs additional testing as needed, provides network technical support and online help, answers trouble calls, monitors the backup and archiving of server content to offsite backup tapes, and stages and installs the servers within the data center.

We offer an array of equipment options, network utilities and software packages that are readily available for fast and easy deployment. iPowerWeb servers are managed by its Systems Administrators, who maintain operating systems, software and hardware for approved servers. Our staff is trained to manage hot swappable devices, supplementary equipment and upgrades with remarkable speed. Data Center

Dedicated Server Services

iPowerWeb allows you to take advantage of their high-speed, high-reliability connectivity options, expansive Global IP Network and state-of-the-art Internet Data Centers, while retaining direct control of your servers running your mission critical applications. You can also choose "remote hands" professional services options to support your co-located servers.
To ensure that all servers, monitoring equipment, and infrastructure are fully protected during a power failure, our Internet Data Centers are equipped with redundant dual AC and DC power feeds with multiple backup systems. This includes generators to support the Internet Data Centers in the case of utility power failure. These generators support all Center infrastructure including: UPS, PDUs, connectivity, security, air conditioning, chillers, pumps, fire suppression, and life safety equipment. The stand-by diesel generators are provided at N+1 capacity for redundancy and have with a three-day fuel capacity stored on site. Fuel vendors are under contract to "stand-by" in the event of an extended outage. Backup Generator

Dedicated Power Distribution Room

AT&T understands that if your server goes down, so does your business. To guard against power loss, we’ve incorporated dedicated emergency power systems into every Internet Data Center. For further protection, we’ve instituted a minimum of N+1 electrical infrastructure for support of systems operations, including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
You can rest assured knowing that rapid-response disaster preparedness and recovery measures are in place. In addition, redundant cooling, heating and humidity controls keep servers in an optimum operating environment. Climate Control

Fire Suppression System

AT&T Internet Data Centers are equipped with fully redundant fire detection and suppression systems. These include the VESDA advanced fire detection system -- 100 times more sensitive than conventional fire detection systems, an additional cross-zoned fire detection system, and either the ozone-safe Inergen "clean agent" fire suppression system, or pre-action (dry type) sprinkler systems.
